Pretty much everyone in America loves TV, and when producers get it right, obsession is quick to follow. Here are some of the shows I've been obsessed with recently and always.
Spoilers. Duh.
10. Mad Men (currently on season 4)
Just Joan being flawless. {

Following the life of 60's businessman and serial cheater
Don Draper Dick Whitman, Mad Men is ultimately a feminist and progressive satire that highlights how screwed up America was 50 years ago in order to show us how, psst, we still have a long way to go in the way of human rights. My favorite thing about the show is the small victories, especially for Peggy, but even for Don, who somehow rides the line of hatred and pity for me every episode.
OTP: Don/Peggy
BROTP: Peggy/Joan
Favorite Character: Peggy Olson
9. Project Runway (caught up and waiting for season 13)
That's Christopher. He's moody. {

Yes I did just go from a highly acclaimed television masterpiece to a reality game show, but whatever. I love me some Tim Gunn. If you didn't know, Project Runway invites a host of designers to New York each year to compete in a cutthroat runway competition. Best designer gets to create a whole collection for New York Fashion Week, and that ain't nothing, folks. Make it work!
OTP: literally every contestant ever and their adorable partners
BROTP: Tim/Heidi

Character Contestant: Mondo Guerra
8. Bones (caught up and waiting for season 10)
*whispers*
let me be your queen {
via}
Bones is a long-running program about a female Sherlock Holmes who happens to be one of the best forensic anthropologists in the world. Temperance "Bones" Brennan, her FBI partner and ex-sniper friend Seeley Booth, and her team of scientists (squints) at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington, D.C. solve crimes using mostly - wait for it - bones. The best part about Bones is the character development, not only of Brennan herself, but of all of her friends.
OTP: Hodgins/Angela ("Hodgela")
BROTP: Brennan/Angela
Favorite Character: Dr. Jack Hodgins
7. Grey's Anatomy (caught up and waiting for season 11)
*casually loves Dr. Bailey forever* {

Meredith Grey (hah), daughter of the famed doctor Elis Grey, starts her surgical internship at Seattle Grace hospital after a one night stand with the best neurosurgeon in America, aka her attending. The show follows Meredith and her friends at the hospital, including Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Sheppard, and the infamous Cristina Yang (Meredith's
best friend person). This show is sassy, sexy, fabulous, dramatic, funny, and heartbreaking. Hop aboard the fast train to feels.
OTP: Meredith/Derek ("Merder")
BROTP: Meredith/Cristina ("Mertina")
Favorite Character: Dr. Miranda Bailey
6. The Daily Show (watching...daily)
Don't ever stop, Jon. Don't ever stop. {
via}
Basically Jon Stewart and his Best F*cking News Team spend four nights a week tearing down bullshit in America with satire. It's the greatest. This is where I get most of my news on TV. It's pretty much my life goal to meet Jon but if I never get to: Mr. Stewart. You kick ass. Thanks for the laughs.
OTP: uhhh
BROTP: Jon and New York
Favorite Character: Besides Jon? Jessica Williams
5. Orphan Black (caught up and waiting for season 3)
This is a sci-fi drama about a woman named Sarah Manning who is one of at least a dozen clones. Each clone has a different personality, voice, sexuality, etc., and they are all played by Tatiana Maslany. The show is full of rabbit holes and feminism. My only complaint is that there aren't nearly enough non-white characters (which is a problem with every show but is especially glaring on progressive shows). Anyway, it's a quality show.
OTP: Felix/Colin; Cosima/Delphine
BROTP: Sarah/Helena; Sarah/Felix
Favorite Character: Cosima, Felix, and Helena (I seriously can't choose)
4. Supernatural (caught up and waiting for season 10)
Sam and Dean Winchester are brothers. They kill monsters. They are walking Bible-brother story arcs. All their friends are dead. Except Castiel; le sexiest angel in the garrison. This show is full of white people. Stop it. Like, we know they're gorgeous but come on. Except I'm obsessed and I can't help it. *runs off to write fanfics*
OTP: They're all dead and I cry. Idk. Charlie/Dorothy
BROTP: Dean/Sam/Castiel ("Team Free Will")
Favorite Character: Sam Winchester
3. Breaking Bad (finished...dang it)
Watching this show made for a quality month. Some of you may be saying, a month? What were you doing with your time?!?! Finals, loves. Finals. Anywho, this show convinced me that drugs are bad (duh) and never trust the quiet ones. It was funny, crazy, and just all around great. Love love love. The ending was perfect, too. Hey, anyone wanna hit up Los Pollos Hermanos?
OTP: Hank/Marie
BROTP: Walt/Jesse
Favorite Character: Jesse "Yo yo yo, 148, 3 to the 3 to the 6 to the 9, representin' the ABQ, what up, Beotch? Leave it at the tone" Pinkman
2. House (finished...ughhhhh)
You know the deal. Dr. Gregory House has chronic leg pain and limps around Princeton Plainsboro downing Vicodin, ignoring Watson's...I mean, Wilson's...advice, curing super sick people with ridiculous methods, and generally mistreating his staff of genius doctors. House was funny, smart, and just very, very good. I'm sad that there will never be a new episode, but I am very happy with the 8 seasons that I got to see. Everybody lies.
OTP: Does it really matter now?
BROTP: House/Wilson
Favorite Character: 13
